Closing In ….

I am closing in on being done with my current historical project. So…. close.

And yet it feels so far away.

only that dot is the planet Jupiter.

That’s how far away it feels.

It’s really far away, Even though I have 80K words which ought to be done, really, other than polishing, which always puts me at about 90-95K and it doesn’t feel done.

I have to go write.

About carolyn

Carolyn Jewel was born on a moonless night. That darkness was seared into her soul and she became an award winning and USA Today bestselling author of historical and paranormal romance. She has a very dusty car and a Master’s degree in English that proves useful at the oddest times. An avid fan of fine chocolate, finer heroines, Bollywood films, and heroism in all forms, she has two cats and a dog. Also a son. One of the cats is his.

  1. Can you please not mention polishing? Because I told my editor I would send her my next project today and I’m still scribbling away at one of the stories. Polishing?!?!? Bwahahahaha! *succumbs to mad laughter*

I’m cheering myself up with the thought that I more or less did the same thing with Castle of the Wolf and Bewitched, and yet Chris K. did not drop dead when reading these manuscripts. So there’s still hope that Bev might survive my current project. :-)

  2. Elena Greene says:

Hang in there, Carolyn. It’s going to be great.

  3. Heidi Kneale says:

    Oh.
    My.
    Gosh.

Every evening this week I’ve peered up into the night sky at Jupiter, currently residing within Gemini (my sign). Every time I do, I think about how I’ve just finished my 80K draft and am now editing it. I am sooooo close to getting it finished and ready to send to an agent, but yeah…

It does feel so far away.

    So, so far away.

    I feel you.
