About carolyn

Carolyn Jewel was born on a moonless night. That darkness was seared into her soul and she became an award winning author of historical and paranormal romance. She has a very dusty car and a Master’s degree in English that proves useful at the oddest times. An avid fan of fine chocolate, finer heroines, Bollywood films, and heroism in all forms, she has three cats and a dog. Also a son. One of the cats is his.

  5. cayenne says:

    Got 6/6. Clearly I read too many regencies…like that’s a bad thing ;)

    Thanks for the fun quiz!

  6. glossaria says:

5/6… I ALWAYS mix up precedence of earl/marquess (and I was good and didn’t look it up first).

  7. Jessica says:

Woo, 6/6! I always think that earl comes before marquess, but I think I’ve finally got the right order drilled into my head.

    • HJ says:

You just have to remember that in Heyer’s Frederica Felix tells the Marquis that he’s a second-rate nobleman, i.e. second after a Duke. (I may not have his wording quite right, but I recall the spirit of it!)

  8. 6 out of 6, I am amazed! I guess I know more about the Regency era than I thought!

  9. Lesley A. says:

5/6 Ugh! Regency geography is my worst subject!! Mayfair – of course! My blushes!

Must study harder next time – MORE READING REGENCY YAY!!! (Like I needed an excuse!)

  10. 6 for 6. All of those research books weighing down my bookshelves are actually doing me some good!
